Not only that, it’s just like a zen-like state: that I collect resources to build what I need but then use new items for that purpose. In the case of hollowing a mountain, or cutting a forest, or perhaps making some uneven terrain beautiful and flat and uniform. I’m not, at all, a great way to go and play it. That kind of thing isn’t for everyone now. The cracking zombie skulls is probably the most interesting part of this game. A single character progression system and a massive skill tree are enough to fill out, and Dysmantle has a special sauce that isn’t just cracking zombie skulls and what is more difficult to re-do. Destroying stuff gives numerous kinds of resources that you can use to craft and upgrade all sorts of items. So, what is the reason this zombie survival game is so interesting to play? Well for me, it is because of its construction into a large open world which is full of destructible objects and euthanized elements. After receiving many praise for its PC and console releases, it has also made its way to mobile devices this week. The 10tons Ltd, which I associate with top-down shooters, have created a zombie apocalypse game that ticks every box for me. There aren’t many themes done more to death in the past ten or so years. You know how pizza is awesome, but if you’re eating pizza for a week right then you can’t even imagine that? I like zombies and zombie survival games, too.
